A record number of Americans played golf in 2021: 37 million. For some it’s a hobby, for others a social or physical activity, but for many, golf is a way of life. 

Golf has always been a social game, but despite the game’s influence, we lack a modern way to share it. Most existing golf apps are complicated or focus on game improvement or golf utility alone. And social media apps like Instagram aren’t built for golf.

Golfers need a home online to share their golf life, and that’s why today we are launching Leaderboard.

Leaderboard is a social platform for golf. Today users can:

• Import an official WHS handicap or estimate their handicap

• Wager on games like Skins, Match Play, Nassau, and Nines

• Track live games and wager statuses

• Follow friends and see their activities in the Leaderboard feed

• Share scores, commentary, and pictures from a round with friends

• Create shareable recaps for iMessage, Instagram Stories, and other apps

We are just getting started.

Ultimately we aim to build a highly-engaged community of golfers, encourage people to try golf for the first time, and make the game we love even more fun.
